Welcome to our 560th Auction Sale. We hope this catalogue finds you well and keeping safe. This is an unprecedented time we are living in with the Novel Corona 19 virus. As you can imagine, the government stay home orders and the safety concerns related to this virus have created a new way of doing business for everyone including us here at R. Maresch & Son. We are currently working with a “family only” crew in the office, which allows us to keep together safely. Our son Charlie 10 and daughter Jillian 8 have been helping with the many odd jobs that need to be done including learning to catalogue collections. Many of you may have talked to Jill as she has taken to answering the phones. The fourth generation of Maresch’s has begun. Our April sale was remarkably successful, realizing over 120% of pre-sale estimates. Since we were not able to have a live auction floor, we held the sale through Stamp Auction Network’s online bidding platform. We were incredibly pleased with the audience and participation that we received. We will continue to hold our public unreserved auctions but for the time being we will not be having a live floor to keep us all safe. To participate in this auction please use Stamp Auction Network’s live bidding. We will also, as usual be accepting bids in our normal methods of mail and email. We will be doing our best to accommodate as many of our clients for viewing as possible in our offices. We will be holding viewing by appointment, to keep everyone safe. Masks are now mandatory in York Region, where the office is located. Please make sure to bring one. ae have hand sanitizers at the front door and in the viewing area also. This auction has many lovely individual items as well as large multi-carton lots. Canada including Large Queens, Nova Scotia, British Honduras are just a few of the collections we are offering in this sale. Be safe and keep family close. The Maresch Family |
