To all our valued customers:
We are gratified to share with you the extremely positive experience we had in conducting our very first live internet auction held on April 22nd/23rd and to thank those of you who so vigorously participated.
As all of you are aware, the current Covid-19 situation resulted in the postponement of this sale from the originally scheduled date in March and the social distancing laws precluded the sale from being held at our office.
The departure from our usual in-house format was one that transitioned seamlessly into a live online format where our consignors benefitted from a much wider audience of bidders.
We were able to extend real time sales to collectors in 17 countries including all parts of Canada and the United States. This resulted in higher prices realized for the material in this auction.
For some of you this was a step into a new way of enjoying your stamp collection involvement and we commend you for your success in quickly and efficiently moving to the live online experience. For us it was also a brand new way of doing business and we were very pleased with the way the auction proceeded, particularly in view of the enhanced benefits for our consignors.
Going forward, we hope to be able to continue to conduct quality auction offerings using this live internet process and perhaps provide more sales with fewer lots per sale in order to make your experience more enjoyable in a shorter auction period. We know the hours were long and we appreciate your continued engagement at your computer screens from start to finish.
Please stay tuned for news of our next sale and once again, thank you from R. Maresch and Son.
